Most companies accumulate ideas faster than they can evaluate them. The Idea Audit is a facilitated workshop designed to change that. In a single half-day session, your team works through every idea in the backlog using a consistent scoring framework.

The result is a clear, prioritized list. Some ideas move forward. Some get archived with dignity. All of them get a fair, structured evaluation instead of dying quietly in a shared folder.

The Scoring Framework

Four dimensions. Clear decisions.

Each idea gets scored across four criteria that predict whether it's worth pursuing right now.

Feasibility

Can this be built or delivered with the resources your team currently has? Feasibility is scored against your actual constraints, not an ideal scenario.

Strategic Fit

Does this idea align with where your organization is trying to go? Ideas that don't connect to strategy rarely get funded or supported, regardless of their quality.

Testability

Can you run a cheap, fast experiment to learn whether the core assumption holds? High testability means low risk. Ideas that can't be tested cheaply need more scrutiny.

Impact Potential

If it works, how significant is the result? This isn't about optimism. It's about honest assessment of the upside relative to the effort required.

Session Structure

Hour 1

Surfacing

Every idea gets onto the table. We use structured prompts to surface ideas that exist in email threads, old presentations, and team members' heads. Nothing gets excluded at this stage.

Hour 2

Categorizing

Ideas get organized by type, theme, and current development stage. This creates a map of your idea landscape and reveals patterns you may not have noticed.

Hour 3

Scoring

Each idea gets scored across the four FSTI dimensions. The scoring is done as a group using structured voting to reduce individual bias and build shared understanding.

Hour 4

Deciding and documenting

The scored ideas are reviewed. The team makes explicit decisions: pursue now, pursue later, archive, or investigate further. Every decision is documented with the reasoning behind it.
